Annulment

Annulment

Annulment is quite different than divorce. The nullification of a marriage, where the marriage that occurred previously is pronounced as never being in existence is the product of an annulment. Grounds for annulment can vary, ranging from bigamy, mental illness, and forced consent. Both parenting time and child support for children that came as a product of an annulled marriage are under the jurisdiction of the court.  Maintenance and division of property are not.
